How to develop Individual Contributors
As business owners, managers, or leaders, sometimes we forget that most people are hired in an individual contributor capacity. For context, an ‘Individual contributor’ refers to any employee that does not have direct Line Management accountability. However, it is much broader than this. Line Managers are also accountable for their own individual contributions outside of their people management responsibilities.
Each year business transactions seem to become more complex, and performance expectations ever increasing. To succeed in this challenging environment, it’s crucial to understand the core behaviours that underpin personal success in the workplace.
How often do we find ourselves in these common conundrums:
“I am working so hard to be part of the team, but I don’t seem to fit”.
“I am communicating all the time, but the message doesn’t get through”.
“I am completely customer focussed, but they are never happy”.
