Key Business Advisors is working with YouthNow to enable young people to develop their business knowledge, customer service and telesales skills and gain industry knowledge through the YouthNow Biz E Centre Work Program.

YouthNow is a not-for-profit organisation that provides career and transition services to young people from highly disadvantaged backgrounds to advance their education, training and employment outcomes.

Colin Wilson, director of Key Business Advisors, has developed a training program for young adults aged 16 to 29 who would benefit from training and career guidance to improve their employability.

“This is a fantastic opportunity particularly for young people who come from disadvantaged backgrounds but are committed to continuing their education or training in order to succeed in the workplace,” Mr Wilson said.

Mr Wilson, who is donating his time and services to YouthNow, will facilitate the training to increase the participants’ business knowledge as well as customer service and sales skills. The training program will run in six parts from 25 August to 10 November 2014. Topics to be covered in the program include basic sales skills, how to provide excellent customer service, and making appointments over the telephone.

Interviews for the YouthNow Biz E Centre Work Program are currently being held. For more information, contact Tania Sacco, Coordinator of Social Enterprises at YouthNow, on 03 8311 5800 or email tania@youthnow.org.au.
