Make sure the upcoming Easter long weekend is a happy one for you and your staff – know your obligations for the public holidays and whether there are any trading restrictions in your state over the 2013 Easter weekend.

Good Friday (29 March) and Easter Monday (1 April) are public holidays throughout Australia.

Saturday, 30 March, has been declared a public holiday in the ACT, NSW, NT, QLD, SA and VIC, while Sunday, 31 March has also been declared a public holiday in NSW. Public holiday rules will apply for Saturday, 30 March and Sunday, 31 March if they have been declared a public holiday in your state or territory.*
