Here are a few tips and tricks to get your staff motivated while working from home

Have you found it challenging to keep your employees motivated during lockdown?

Don’t fret, the circumstances surrounding this pandemic have been difficult for everyone in every situation.

If you are one of the lucky businesses that are able to continue to operate in some capacity you may have noticed a decline in employee motivation to get things done.

Throughout the pandemic, online communication has increased dramatically. The systems and software available to businesses make it seem like you are sitting next to someone.

Here are a few tips and tricks to get your staff motivated while working from home.

Try some exciting team-building exercises like a virtual escape room. This type of activity will get your employees thinking, working together and most of all getting their minds off the pandemic.

Reward your employees. Try having a virtual lunch. This will show your employees that you value them and would like to treat them for the continual hard work and dedication to the company.

If money is an issue, do something that is cost-efficient and still makes your team feel valued. Friday afternoon virtual drinks. This is a great way to end the week, all in the comfort of your own home. Make it fun! Try trivia game nights, or engage with their interests. The simplest things will allow your employees to unwind and let their hair down.

If you feel that your motivational issues can’t be resolved with the above, Key Business Advisors offer a cultural survey that we can manage and conduct for your business. This survey will allow you to see where the cultural or motivational issues are so that you are able to take steps to address them.

KBA offers free webinars, online training, and useful information to help your company grow.
